I loved illustrating this highly imaginative story, encouraging exactly that!

Originally from Somalia, author Mulki Kassim wanted this to be hinted at in the illustrations.

It was really interesting researching Somalian culture, I would love to try the Somali breakfast- with tea of course. here's a link to the recipe of the dish I served up on page 5!
